2017 – 2018 Recreational Fall/Winter Season

WELCOME to the Recreational Fall/Winter season at West Pasco Soccer Club. Recreational Soccer is ideal for the player who wants to be introduced to the game, play with friends and participate on a team. Recreational soccer is open to all players and is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players. No tryouts are required to join a team. All teams are coached by volunteers.

Registration for the Fall/Winter season is now open. Regular registration will close September 11th. Any late registration completed after September 11th will be subjected to a $30.00 late fee. Late registrations will only be accepted on a team need basis.

All registrations are done online via West Pasco’s online registration system—Blue Sombrero. Click on the registration tab on West Pasco’s Website (www.westpascosoccer.com). This will take you to West Pasco’s Blue Sombrero’s page. If you created an account in previous years – log on using your user name and password. If you are new to the online registration, click on “new user” and follow the instructions. You will be given two sites to choose from—Mitchell fields and Collier Parkway. Select the site where you want to practice and play games and follow instructions for registration. Payment must be made by debit/credit card online. Any requests for registration refunds will be on an individual basis. Our general rule is no refunds for registration once the uniform order has been placed (about one month prior to the first game).

Something New for the 6&U age group.
This year we are offering two smaller sessions for 6&U. Each session is $125, if you only sign up for one. If you sign up for both during this registration period, then we will give you both sessions for only $200. If you sign up for the first session now and then decide later on to sign up for the second session you will have to pay the full $125 for both. Each session is 7 weeks long and includes one practice during the week, with a game on Saturday.

Practices for all ages are at the Mitchell or Holiday Park complex and Collier Parkway at Land O’Lakes in the practice fields. Practices are once a week for 6U, 8u and 10U. NOTE: Something new, this year we are allowing 6&U to hold a 1-hour practice during the week. In the past, it was a 20 minute warm up before the game on Saturday. This will allow them to have more touches on the ball for better development.

6&U practices will be held on Monday’s from 6:00 to 7:00pm.
8&U practices will be held on Wednesday’s 6:00 to 7:00pm.
10&U girl’s teams will practice on Tuesday’s from 6:00 – 7:15 and
10&U boy’s teams will practice on Thursday’s from 6:00 to 7:15.
12&U thru 19&U (TARSA) teams will conduct practices 2 nights a week.

The time and days will be left up to the coach’s discretion. (Practice days may be slightly different at Collier Parkway—contact Frank Coorey at fcoorey@verizon.net for information. Siblings in the same age group/gender (unless coed) will be assigned to the same team unless otherwise requested. Other requests will be accommodated to the best of our ability as long as the player is registered during early registration. Other than the previous exceptions, teams are assigned as players sign up—first come, first available on teams.

Game schedules for in-house will be posted on the website. For TARSA age groups, please log on to www.tarsasoccer.com. All age group schedules and directions to fields will be available on this site.

We reserve the right to combine any age groups into coed teams if there are not enough players of one gender to make a complete team.

**Volunteer Coaches: All of our recreational teams are coached by parent volunteers. The success of our season is due to our volunteers and every season we are in need of volunteers. There is a $50 volunteer fee that is refunded at the end of the season or applied to the Spring season for coaching. This is a great opportunity to work with the youth of our community, so please sign up! Thank you!

If you have any questions please feel free to contact our Recreational Director, Steven Emerson at sjemerson428@gmail.com at Mitchell Fields and Frank Coorey at fcoorey@verizon.net for the Collier Park/Land O’Lakes fields.

Thank you in advance for your participating in our league
