West Pasco FC is excited to announce the addition of Martin Gramatica to our coaching staff for the upcoming 2017-18 Competitive Season

Martin Gramatica will once more be wearing the colors of the Buccaneers—but this time as a coach on the sidelines of WEST PASCO FC! West Pasco FC is excited to announce that Martin is joining the West Pasco family for the upcoming 2017-18 soccer season!

Martin is from Buenos Aires, Argentina. His family moved to Florida when he was 9 years old and settled in LaBelle, FL. Martin grabbed the attention of the high school football coach while playing for the soccer team. He was invited to the football tryouts as a senior to kick, and his pro career was born. Gramatica was recruited to kick for Kansas State where he set the school record with the longest field goal kicked from 65 yards. From the collegiate stage, Martin was selected in the third round of the 1999 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he played for five seasons. He was the starter for the NFC Pro Bowl team in 2001. In 2002, he won Super Bowl XXXVII with Tampa Bay, scoring 12 points that game and becoming the first Argentine-American in history to do so. He played with five other professional football teams before hanging up his pro football kicking cleats.

Martin went on to find success with a second career in construction, specifically designing and building environmental friendly buildings and specialty insulated building panels. He and his brothers established the Gramatica Foundation which focuses on building mortgage free homes for combat wounded veterans.

Despite all his accomplishments with pro football and construction, Martin’s true passion has always been soccer. Now the youth soccer community benefits from Martin’s passion and expertise. Martin began his coaching career at Tampa Bay United. This year he is joining West Pasco FC where he will not only coach teams, but organize football kicking and soccer camps. The opportunities his charitable enterprises provide will have a lasting and positive impact on the West Pasco FC community.

The entire West Pasco FC family gives a big, warm welcome to Martin and his family, Ashlee, Nico, Gaston and Emme.
